Individuals interested in pursuing the Master of Science in Nursing at Vanguard should complete the online application and then submit all supporting items together in one envelope to the Office of Graduate Admissions. If you choose to complete the paper application, please submit it in the same envelope with all supporting items.

Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of $45.00 is required. Checks may be made out to Vanguard University.

Download the paper version of the Graduate Nursing Reference. Each applicant is required to secure two professional references as part of the application process; please print the PDF version two times, one for each reference. A separate letter should accompany each reference form. These should be completed by professionals who are familiar with your work as a nurse and are not related to you.
Official Transcripts
Please request official transcripts from all of the colleges you have attended (including colleges you attend for pre-requisite course work).
Copy of California Registered Nursing License
It must be a clear and current license.
Evidence of All Required Immunizations
& Report of a Current Physical Exam
Completed no more than one year prior to submitting application. View list.
Copy of a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Statement of Purpose (250 words)
An explanation of your reasons, including your vocational aspirations and personal sense of mission, for applying to Vanguard’s Master of Science in Nursing.
Resume
Please provide a detailed resume listing all employment, experience, education, training, etc.
DEADLINES
MSN Admission Interview Days for fall 2012 entry are Saturday, April 14th, and Thursday, May 3rd.
Students applying after April 1 are evaluated on a space available basis.
